Field Medics have been recognized by industry as important for protecting remote field workers. This exciting industry is becoming a necessity for the BC LNG projects, mining, oil and gas and other sectors.

These positions are for those who have a passion for the outdoors and spending time in the wilderness and want to be a part of the BC stewardship and conservation initiative. You will be an integral part of a team providing field level hazard assessments and life safety by providing emergency first aid and medical care in the field.

Rates of pay for these positions range from $200 to $300 per day depending on experience, project type and client. In addition to the daily rate, living out allowance or accommodations are provided. Medics are provided with a fully equipped Emergency Transport Vehicle for use while on duty.

Although working in Northern BC in a camp or hotel is not for everybody, for those who don’t fit into the normal grind of 9 to 5, this is the job for you. Whether hiking into the backcountry areas that have never been travelled before or flying over vast untouched wilderness by helicopter, this job is the outdoor persons dream.

This occupation requires a serious commitment on both a personal and family basis and should be strongly considered before applying.
